About the Artist:
Maria Cuningham is a Black, queer woman in Portland, OR who makes sculptures under the name Nikster Productions. These weird, offensive, and hilarious works are inspired by vintage toys and all of the terrible and beautiful shit going on in the world. Each item is lovingly handcrafted while watching some form of Star Wars media and supervised by two cats and a dog. Every item is one-of-a-kind. Although an idea may be repeated, each piece is unique. When not making toys, the artist spends her days taking care of rare books and collecting oddities and curiosities.
