Dan Hillier Ltd
Dan was born in 1973 in Oxford and studied Illustration and Graphic Arts at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge in 1995. Since 2006, after traveling for a number of years, he has been creating and exhibiting his work through solo and group shows in various galleries and spaces including ArtDog London, Saatchi Gallery, MuTate Britain, Victor Wynd Fine Arts, Glastonbury Festival and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Heir to the ideas of the surrealist Max Ernst, Hillier creates stunning illustrations, based on his knowledge of biology, anatomy and Victorian prints mixing them into fantasy portraits. The artist’s previous exhibitions include shows at the Saatchi gallery, the ICA and more recently, The Louvre.
